The site is set in 1967, five years after the end of ‘X Men First Class’. Though the Cuban missile crisis was averted, tensions are once again high in America as the Vietnam war shows no sign of coming to an end any time soon. Secretly, under the authority of the US Military, experiments have begun being conducted on mutants who are revealed in army medical exams. Under Charles Xavier and the original X-Men, ’Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters’ has been established is a safe haven for young mutants of all backgrounds to live, learn, and explore their abilities. Meanwhile, former members of the Hellfire Club have allied with Erik Lehnsherr to form The Brotherhood of Mutants, a group dedicated to the protection of their species, at any and all costs.
