The Sokovia Accords were abolished under a cry of public support to exonerate the heroes who had pushed back the world's extinction. But just because the Avengers could once more operate as a private entity, free from political influence and quests for power, that did not mean all returned to how it once was. Tony Stark left the Avengers, unable to face Captain America still since their fate divide back in 2016, allowing the lies and the pain to swallow him whole. Instead, Tony took up an offer and rebuilt SHIELD bigger and better, with a whole new focus: threats from the stars, watched over by SHIELD's new arm, SWORD, overseen in secret by Nick Fury and provided for with the technology recovered from Wakanda and new creations from Tony's brilliance.
The X-Men welcome the hope of this new world with hope and cheer, while the Brotherhood have forged a new home and have sworn to be a plague upon any of mankind who seek to ever again strike back against mutants, refusing to be cowed again by the empty promises of the world governments.
The Avengers, now with new training, new recruits and new faces, is still never to be the same. And something grows within the shadows, something that threatens to shake the Avengers to the core once more. Can they survive? Can they remain true, and together? Will they Assemble, or is this really how, the Avengers Disassemble? And will this new world bring hope, or merely more pain, as heroes and villains rise up from their rest under the tight fist of the Accords now opened wide?
Only one thing is certain, the world is all-new and all-different.
