Henry was affected by radiation his father had incurred; this may be the cause of his primary mutation, and the problem of his life. A remarkably intelligent boy, his hands and feet were larger than any boy in his class. His frame - muscular, bulky and abnormal drew the ire of those around him. Immediately singling him out as different. Gorilla Freak and other simian ad hominem attacks were leveled at him daily. At first their ridicule shattered him. And without his parents unwavering devotion they might have killed the spark inside of him: though they tried every single day. Excelling in his studies from the beginning, he was placed in gifted classes - but those are only designed to make you into a cog. There is little room to explore there. So he purposely did poorly, riding the line between acceptable and excellent. He became cunning outside of school - reading everything he could, spending all his available hours in the public library. In high school he was recruited by the football coach to join the team. He did so with the encouragement of his long time friend NAME REDACTED FROM MEMORY and his parents who were eager for the teenager to make friends. After the first practice, Hank became an instant sensation. He could run faster, throw and jump further and was stronger then any of the others on the field. Able to dip and duck around the opposition. Word traveled fast and the next day, the other high schoolers accepted him as a hero, a champion among them. Hank led the team to an undefeated season. After becoming popular he began spending less and less time in the library and more time around town with his new friends. He didn’t see NAME REDACTED FROM MEMORY again after that. Unlike his “siblings” who had more traumatic reasons for meeting Charles; Henry Mccoy did not. Selected out for his abilities, the Professor knew of his capabilities and promised that he could help him in attaining great feats. Hank was eager to trust him, and once shown the reverse of the coin, that he was homo superior - fell into the man’s arms trusting him completely and without hesitation. Currently enrolled at Yale University, Henry Mccoy is enjoying Ph.D studies in biochemistry though can often be seen taking the train into Penn Station to visit his longtime fling in their shared Chelsea flat. An X-Men emeritus and determined mutant activist. |  Platonic; incredibly affable and always a gentlemen. A scholar and a knight. Charismatic yet reserved. He is everything you want in a confidant, business partner, lover or brother. Antagonistic; Hank’s enemies would be enemies of mutant kind. And enemies of progress, and that is progress as he defines it. Romantic; Hank has always been in a relationship, he is the guy who always has a girlfriend, though he may not be seen with them always. He aims to be the perfect man for each of them, being very romantic up until they mutually decide to end things. With each girl from his past, they have all remained good friends and they would have only good things to say about him; as he would them. Currently, Hank has been in a serious non monogamous relationship with a woman for nearly two years, (their anniversary is april 17th and they celebrate by getting pad thai and watching She’s Having a Baby). He is fiercely in love with her though they have a long distance relationship for the most part. Suggested Plots; taking a small respite from his x-men duties, hank is exploring his life away from his family and the professor. He has a non monogamous serious relationship currently so he is open to flings or other entanglements. I’d love for him to learn magic et sorcery so through that at him? For selfish reasons maybe. >>dark beast anyone?<<. He is a virulent mutant rights supporter so through everything at him if you’re for/against the issue. And finally he is a genius, let him join the marvel mensa clique, and give him a rival who is also a genius or whatever. Competing for funding or accolades? Who can solve this problem first etc. Finally, he is a low level researcher at a biochemical research facility, so if anyone wants to blow anything up or hack some information? Maybe kidnap a genius - i’m just saying. Also there is maybe where he alters his dna, not sure as of yet. … Also this beast isn’t blue and hairy - that comes up as a stinger in the final episode of the first season. Stay tuned… |
