CHARLES XAVIER
Charles is a 35 year old telepath, and the founder of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. His history is basically canon through the events of ‘First Class’ + some stuff from the comics, and his last few years have been dedicated to getting the school up and running and helping as many young mutants as possible.
• friends
Not surprisingly, there are plenty. Charles is a friendly, likably person who’s capable of getting along with just about anybody. His abilities give him a unique sort of empathy and he tries his best to maintain positive relationships with basically everyone. That said, most of his current relationships are professional, or those where he is acting as more of a mentor/guardian to students then people he's necessarily open and close to.
• enemies
Charles would like to say he has no enemies, that there’s good in everyone and people can always reach an understanding but.. history has proven that that’s not exactly true. The factor the matter is, Charles is a pacifist at heart, and anyone who’s goal is to incite violence against any group of people stands at his moral opposition.
• lovers
So Charles has not been in a relationship since before he opened the school, and if asked why, he would fumble through a very long list of excuses. At this point, if he were to date someone, I think it would have to come up naturally with someone he felt comfortable with so that’s potentially something I’m willing to explore. Though most of his relationships have been with females, I do think Charles could fall for someone of any gender.
DUKE OAKLEY
Duke is a 24 year old mutant currently studying neuroscience and biology at Yale. He is a proud gun-toting, cowboy-hat-wearing Texan, and a certifiable genius with enhanced processing abilities. He is only just discovering the world of mutants so plot wise he's pretty open in that regard.
• friends
Friendships have always been difficult for Duke. While he’s a social person by nature, his mutation makes it so he doesn’t exactly ‘get’ other people, and for the most part, he sees them as things to play with rather than the potential for a mutually beneficial relationship. Likely any friends he has are willing to take on a more submissive role, or are fellow geniuses or powerful mutants who share a common goal.
• enemies
These he has plenty of. Duke tends to come off an an overconfident know-it-all and really, a bit of an ass. He doesn't think much of people's feelings, and has a lax regard for rules and procedures that don't typically go over well with the academic crowd.
• lovers
Duke’s relationships tend to be fairly short lived. Much like his friendships, there just aren’t many people on the same wavelength as him, and he gets too easily bored. He does enjoy the occasional fling, particularly with attractive women who find him charming, and he may be open to something more serious with a character who’s able to hold their own intellectually.

Charles & Lance:
Westchester boys represent? XD But in all’s seriousness, I figured these two might be fun to meet since they both come from Westchester, maybe the families might even be aware of each other among some of the others. Just an idea though.
Charles & Jubilee:
Poor Xavier dealing with the ripe age of teenage rebellion. As with any student, I imagine Jubilee looks up to Xavier and the rest of the staff, but has never fully let go of her rebellious tendencies. Thinking a big thorn in his side for sneaking out and still partaking in her previous theft scams. Or just causing chaos after sneaking out of the mansion.
Duke & Corrine:
Maybe a gun-toting cowboy would like to meet a gun-toting Alaska gal. Both of these two are college students, but have had little experience with mutants. More so Corrine doesn’t know any outside her own family, so it could be a fun case of how different their mutations can be and she might inquire if he’s also from out of state. Might be a toss in the air if she would tolerate his know-it-all attitude in the long run though.

So since Laura been taken in by the X-Men that Charles would help Laura adjust to her new home.

@lancebond and Charles Yes! I like to think that all the ‘prominent’ Westchester families probably know (or at least know of) each other. I’m sure their parents did business or attended the same ridiculous social functions at some point in time. Charles was out of the country for a lot of Lance’s childhood but he could have easily interacted with Charles’s mother and stepfather. I can only imagine the gossip and scandal after Charles moved back in with all these weird children. But anyway, yes, I think these two would get along really well. @jubilationlee and Charles I love writing a younger Charles because sometimes he has no idea what he’s doing with some of these kids. Like he understands the desire to rebel from authority and have fun but also oh my god please just stop lol He’s definitely taken Jubilee on trips to return things she’s stolen before, or given her some kind of community-service-esque task to do if that’s not possible @corrineburns and Duke Hell. Yes. Honestly Duke would be thrilled to speak to anyone who’s not a typical New Yorker hippie at this point. And Texas and Alaska share quite a bit philosophically. They could easily meet at a university— even though they don’t go to the same school they could need to visit the others to use specific equipment or do research on a specific artifact/chemical that can’t be moved for whatever reason. He’s very patient with her, and probably helped direct her to some of the other students who he believed would be good for her to learn from.

LAURA KINNEY and Charles Charles definitely worked with Laura a lot when she was first brought back to the mansion, trying to help her understand that she was safe, and ensure she’d be able to safely interact with the other students. He’s very patient with her, and probably helped direct her to some of the other students who he believed would be good for her to learn from. We could do a flash back thread with them interaction and her getting introduced to the mansion.

I really like the idea of Charles catching Lance using his abilities, I think that'll strike up a pretty interesting conversation Duke and @corrineburns So I just realized from doing some plot stalking both of them are probably going to end up with the Brotherhood within their next couple of threads. I almost think it would be more interesting for them to meet in that context, and more likely they might get along with each other better in that... lets call them an eclectic crowd. Of course they could also have had an interaction in school before that, but maybe not have found out the other was a mutant. Im not sure what would be the most interesting in the long run!

RAVEN DARKHOLME Sorry for taking so long replying to this but yes, I’d love to thread them! Charles definitely still cares for Raven even if he’s disappointed by the choices she made and how things turned out between then. I’m imagining that Charles and Raven’s first interaction since sides were drawn will be right before the West Virginia thread, I could start that post for you later tonight! I’d love to do something in the past with them too if you have an idea you want to get started.
