POWERS & ABILITIES

Hemokinesis: the ability to manipulate blood. The blood Hiram manipulates must already be present. He can manipulate it when it is still inside of the body or when it is outside of the body. He can use the manipulated blood as a weapon to attack (think of the damage high pressure water can do), but a sword formed from blood cannot withstand a sword made of metal. He can clot blood to stop the bleeding of wounds, and inflict his enemies with blood clots to create numbness, swelling, and pain. Think of the possibilities of a water elementalist with water...and then apply that to him except with blood. Some limitations and weaknesses include distance between him and the blood he is manipulating; the distance is equal to 3 football fields (300 yards) in all directions but the power dulls every 100 yards. At 300 yards the best he could due is cause minimum pain and discomfort but couldn't teleport which works best at 100 yards. If he is drained or hungry then his control is lacking; overextending himself can lead to passing out, nosebleeds, or temporary blindness. 200 yards and out he can kill or incapacitate fairly quick, but it is slower.

Hiram has developed the ability to teleport between any two large enough concentrations of blood, passing through a stream of blood as a liquid rather then disappearing and reappearing in another farther away blood source. Hiram can even travel from person to person the way a virus would so long as he is consistently in a or jumping from sources of blood. For this extension of his mutation Hiram must be touching blood physically to trigger but this is tricky and dangerous, on the occasion he has used it the exhaustion of pulling himself back together is heavy.

BRIEF HISTORY

Hiram Keegan was the only child of Ishael Keegan (Irish) and Louise Keegan (Canada), both in the military of their respected countries. The pair met on a base where they eloped and Ishael moved to Alberta Canada shortly after Hiram was born.

Hiram was fifteen when his mutant abilities were triggered, it was during school in gym when the lanky boy was challenged by his gym teacher. It was a simple blood clot at first and while Hiram didn't think about it the group known only as Weapon X did. They collected Hiram and showed him what he was....a mutant.

Hiram was made into a asset to the Canadian government, a weapon. He was sold to the US Military basically during the Vietnam war. He wasn't as mistreated as one would expect and he was paid handsomely for his services (he was a willing solider after all and a solider through and through) and while he had done questionable things for a shadow type militant program Hiram did find the love of his life. The most beautiful woman. Their meeting had been a moment of dorkiness and an accident but prior to asking her out for a coke Hiram knew he wanted to be with her. They spent a good amount of time together in between that date, and they courted for just six months before Hiram asked her to be his bride.

In his last mission Hiram or 'Bloodscout' to the program was injured by a landmine, he was honorably discharged. For his services he was granted duel citizenship to Canada and the United States. Hiram has opted for the simple suburban life and a slice of the American dream pie with his bride.
